Travel with us back in time, there where the Medici family lived for centuries, discovering the masterpieces of their collection and the wonderful frescoes.
This tour is focused on the Pitti Palace and the Boboli Garden, the royal palace of Granduke of Tuscany and its unforgettable garden, a museum in open air.
On the left side of the Arno River, among artisan workshops and neighborhood markets, it opens the magnificent facade of the Palazzo Pitti, casket of the finest treasures of Florentine art.
Behind its huge stone walls, we admire one of the most important Italian garden, the Boboli Garden, a little Versaille in the heart of Florence, with beautiful fountains, nice statues and the evocative Buontalenti Cave!

The Medici Grand Duke Cosimo I in the middle of the 16th century bought a small remains of the previous Pitti’s family residence and it was immediately transformed into the main ducal palace. When the Medici line ended in the 18th century, the Lorraine-Hapsburg family took the title of the Grand Duke of Tuscany and lived here for four generations, until the Unification of Italy in the 1860s, when the King and Queen of the new nation came to live here.The splendid residence of the Medici Grand Dukes, the Lorraine family and the King of Italy still houses many museums.

With our tour you'll enjoy the richness of the Palatine Gallery, full of frescoed rooms and masterworks by Raphael, Titian, Rubens, Caravaggio. On the ground floor we visit the Silver Museum, the “Treasure of the Medici”, a famous collection of works in semi-precious gemstones, silver and gold jewels, some of these belonged to the collection of Lorenzo il Magnifico. The Palatine Gallery and the Silver museum's rooms are decorated with amazing baroque frescoes, one of a kind!
Then we walk along the white streets of the Boboli Garden, designed by Niccolò Tribolo to show the power of the Medici! Statues, fountains, amphitheatre, Oceano and Nettuno Fountains and the famous Buontalenti Cave are the perfect ending for our visit.
